Happy Birthday Origins!

Can you believe it's been a whole year since the launch of Habbo Hotel Origins? We can't either. It seems like just yesterday, we were flocking into the Welcome Lounge - chatting to friends, both old and new, building our first humble rooms. Time flies so fast when you're having fun - almost too fast. So fast, that you forget all about the past events, competitions and even campaigns, not to mention the furni releases! We thought it would be a good idea to take a walk down memory lane and refresh your memories a bit with a short recap of all this year's Habbo-happenings.

The year in review

Of course, this is merely scratching the surface of all the excitement that has been going on in the hotel. In reality, what really held the community together has been all of the player-led events. Countless hours have been spent, organizing events that have blown away all expectations of what was possible. Here's a graphic to highlight some of the biggest player-led events:

Anecdotes from the Habbo community

Many great times have been had, and many memories have been created. We thought it'd be fun to hear from some of the Habbos throughout the community about their greatest memories from the first year of the game. Here's what they had to say:

Inx: "Honestly, it's incredibly difficult for me to pin a single memory down - the magic has come from the feeling of Origins. With all of the incredible events we ran at TraderClub, meeting so many ridiculously talented artists, developers and musicians, raising money for SpecialEffect, and getting fishing into origins, there are just so many ingredients that have made this past year special. I'm massively grateful to the community for giving me the chance to experience not just a sense of nostalgia, but a chance to build something even cooler that would never have been possible in 2005."

Dovak: "One of my best memories from the first year of Habbo Origins was when I won my Gold Hammer Trophy. I couldn't believe it at first when people started messaging me about it. It was truly one of the greatest moments from that year."

Frenkie: "Seeing my name in an article on Origins' front page, spotlighting the event me, Dovak and Thinkable built from scratch? Unreal. Most of all though, meeting clever, hilarious people like my good friend Sumya changed my life in the most chaotic and unforgettable way - something I could have never imagined!

Nineteen: "I think my greatest memory from the 1st year is the amazing people I’ve met, some of which are friends for life. The sense of community and the support I’ve received from others is something I’ll always remember"

BobBarker: "My greatest memory would have to be the first season of "The Price is Right". It was the first big event I ever hosted, and the energy was FANTASTIC. I really liked getting to know the community while running games, handing out prizes, and just vibing together. It made it truly unforgettable. There is nothing like making people smile with furni."

Heartwarming, truly heartwarming. Well, I guess all that's left to say is: be sure to check in to the hotel this anniversary week to celebrate with us all! And last but not least...
