Origins Updates #2
Since the last Origins Updates article (about 200 years, it seems), a lot has happened, to put it mildly. Here's a quick rundown of everything that has been added to the game (bar Stamps and Challenges, which we assume most are familiar with by now), as well as everything that is coming up very shortly.
New features and updates
Windows and landscapes
The community voted resoundingly for the addition of new types of windows and landscapes, which have been added to the game as of today. You can now move, pick up and place all new kinds of windows in your rooms - and you can even change the view and its colour!
Here's what this new section of the catalogue looks like:

And here's the updated 'Spaces' section of the catalogue with its new layout:

User moderation commands
A long-awaited feature for many Habbos, four new commands have been added to the game, which will make it much easier to avoid trolls than ever before.
Here are the new commands and how they work:
- :ignore
- This will now ignore the user across the hotel, and block their access to all of your rooms. - :unignore
- This will unignore the user. - :ban
- :unban
- This will unban the user from your current room.”
We (me, Kvik and our resident gossiper Dublyu) tested out the commands in-game, and they worked perfectly.
Here's a video demonstration of the commands, courtesy of Macklebee himself:

Upcoming features and updates:
Fishing: Public preview
A public preview of the previously discussed "Fishing" minigame is going to be launched soon - possibly early next week, as hinted at by Macklebee in this reply in the Origins Discord server. The plan is for the public preview to precede an InfoBus poll.
In preperation for the public preview, the walkable area in the Infobus Park public room has been extended to the right, to allow access to the lake.
Additionally, Macklebee also shared a visual sneak peek of the minigame's XP bar, shown below:

Info Stand Editor and Sticker Book
Both of these new features were likewise polled in the InfoBus and passed! It is unknown exactly when these features will be implemented, although it has been confirmed by Macklebee that the coding for the Sticker Book is 'mostly complete'.
Until then, we leave you with these images of the new features to stoke the fire of your (and our) excitement. First, the Info Stand Editor:

And secondly, the Sticker Book:

Steam Release and Advertising Campaign
The release of Habbo Origins on the digital distribution giant "Steam" could be closer than previously thought. According to this reply by Macklebee, the game's release on the platform, as well as an advertising campaign to boot, is planned after the release of the above-mentioned features (provided that the "Fishing" minigame is voted through in the InfoBus).
These developments would make the game more visible to potential new players and could give a well-needed boost to the Origins' player base - only time will tell.
And that just about wraps it up - now you're all caught up on the goings-on in Habbo Origins! We'd love to hear your opinions on these new features and updates, so be sure to tell us in the comments below!
Until next time...
